Senior So Smart” Activity

In an era of rapid transformation—both in technology and social structure—the elderly are among the most vulnerable groups at risk of being excluded from access to information, technology, and social participation. Recognizing this challenge, Jaymart initiated the “Senior So Smart” activity in 2015 to create a continuous learning space, promote physical and mental well-being, and bring lasting joy to elderly members in the community.

“Senior So Smart” is a social initiative designed to support health, access to technology, and lifelong learning. The program is carried out in collaboration with various partners across multiple sectors, through activities that are engaging, easy to understand, and well-suited to the lifestyle context of older adults.

In 2025, Jaymart continues this meaningful program through a workshop under the concept “Dance to the Fullest, Never Stop Being Healthy,” held at the ESG Bonding Hub, The Ninth Towers. The workshop focuses on dance-based exercise that promotes strength, flexibility, and pain relief, while also encouraging seniors to develop self-care skills and foster stronger social connections.

The activity aims to empower seniors by:

  • Enhancing both physical and mental well-being
  • Promoting awareness and safe usage of modern technology
  • Fostering self-confidence and meaningful participation in society

From a sustainability perspective, “Senior So Smart” serves as a tangible example of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy implementation, particularly within the “Social” dimension. The initiative also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as follows:

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

The program promotes physical activity and self-care, reducing the risk of chronic diseases among seniors while also enhancing mental health through social interaction.

  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities

By offering free, accessible, and inclusive activities, all seniors—especially those with limited access to technology—can participate equally and meaningfully.

  • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

By encouraging the elderly to engage and take part in community activities, the program reduces isolation, strengthens civic involvement, and reinforces the foundation of resilient communities.

  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Jaymart implements this project through collaboration with government agencies, private sector partners, and local communities, highlighting the power of collective efforts in driving comprehensive quality-of-life development.

Jaymart firmly believes that “true sustainability” stems from the inclusive growth of all sectors in society—especially the elderly, who, despite the passage of time, remain valuable, creative, and influential in inspiring and strengthening society as a whole.
