Plastic Bottles for J Points: Reduce Global Warming

On June 29, 2024, at BG Stadium, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province, during the IDOL LEAGUE 2 Presented by Jaymart, an activity titled "Plastic Bottles for J Points" (1 Bottle = 10 J Points) was held. The aim was to collect plastic bottles and deliver them to Wat Kradang for the recycling process, transforming them into Buddhist robes or "Recycled Plastic Bottle Robes." One robe requires 15 recycled plastic bottles, and one set of robes requires 60 bottles. These robes are made through an innovative process, transforming the bottles into high-quality cloths, stitched and dyed in accordance with royal traditions and Buddhist precepts.

During the event, participants exchanged up to 1,000 plastic bottles or 30.50 kilograms, which contributed to creating 66 robes and 16 sets of robes.

The recycling process of PET bottles helps slow down the use of natural resources, reduces energy consumption, and lowers carbon footprints or greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of new plastic. By recycling PET plastic, it can be creatively transformed into eco-friendly products, further contributing to environmental sustainability.
