Discarding E-Waste is equivalent to planting

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Mr. Dusit Sukhumwittaya, Chief Executive Officer of Jaymart Mobile Co., Ltd., participated in an important activity that the company collaborated on with Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), the Phaya Thai District Office, Pruksa Holding, and several other partner networks in the "Discarding E-Waste is Equivalent to Planting" project. This initiative connects electronic waste disposal with tree planting, with the concept that 1 piece of E-Waste = 1 tree. The goal is to create green spaces and promote environmental conservation.

The event was organized to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024, with the Governor of Bangkok presiding over the ceremony and presenting saplings to representatives from 46 partner organizations. One of these organizations, Jaymart Mobile Co., Ltd., received 368 saplings. These saplings will be planted in various areas to restore the environment, increase green spaces, and raise awareness of the importance of sustainable nature conservation.

In its commitment to supporting environmental preservation, Jaymart has enhanced the "Thailand Without E-Waste with Jaymart" project, which collaborates with AIS to expand the effective management of electronic waste. The plan is for every Jaymart Store branch to serve as a collection point for electronic waste, which will then be sent for recycling under international standards, all within the framework of the Zero E-Waste to Landfill concept.
