The "Shiny Bag with Jaymart Go Green" Project (Plastic Snack Bag Waste Sorting for Recycling Process)

Jaymart has launched a new waste sorting project with the “Shiny Bag with Jaymart Go Green” initiative, transforming "worthless" snack wrappers into valuable "aluminum." The company encourages employees to participate in the collection and sorting of these plastic snack bags, with the goal of recycling used packaging into valuable products. The project aims to raise awareness about waste sorting and the benefits of recycling waste.

Currently, the issue of plastic snack bags, or “shiny bags,” is being addressed sustainably through the innovation of machinery developed for recycling plastic waste. The goal is to add value by turning used packaging into useful and eco-friendly products, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the target of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (Carbon Neutral).

In 2024, Jaymart successfully sorted a total of 11 kilograms of "shiny bags."
